Our Super Digestive Enzyme formula is probably the most exciting addition to the Avena lineup, We realized there is a need for an enzyme formulated and focused on the blood, cleaning and detoxifying. What many of us would consider cellular regeneration.

By increasing potency in each enzyme we have been able to provide a stronger more impactful enzyme. Q. Why does the bottle only recommend 1 Capsule per day?
A. Health Canada currently only recommends Enzymes as digestive aids, and due to the levels of enzymes in this product, one capsule is what they feel would be required to aid in digestion.
Q. How does it work?
A. This product is designed to assist the digestion of undigested foods, cleans toxicity on a cellular level, and also decreases cellular degeneration.
Q. Even though its meant to be taken on an empty stomach, can it still be taken with food?
A. Yes, you can most definitely use this enzyme with food. However, this product isn't designed for food digestion, as this product is designed for other purposes.
Q. . Why would I need to take this product?
A. If you're looking to prevent degeneration, improve overall health, cleaning the blood and the body at a cellular level, this product is perfect for you.
Q. Can I use this away from meals?
A. There is growing research that suggests and promote the use of Enzymes on empty stomachs. It is suggested these will help with the breakdown of undigested food in your blood stream, intestinal tract, and body tissues. Q. Why is this product called a digestive aid?
A. Currently Health Canada only recognizes Enzymes to be licensed for digestive aids, possibly in the future Health Canada will consider, or incorporate enzymes into therapeutic uses. At which time we would love to apply for such labeling on the Super Digestive Aid.
Q. Can I use Super Enzymes while pregnant or breastfeeding?
A. There has no safety studies and research to prove the positive or negative effect of enzymes during these stages. Whoeever if a pregnant mother is eating natural whole foods, rich in enzymes, she will be ingesting these similar enzymes daily. Avena recommends you discuss any decisions with your medicial professional.
Catalase is a common enzyme found in nearly all living organisms exposed to oxygen. It catalyzes the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide to water andoxygen. It is a very important enzyme in protecting the cell from oxidative damage by reactive oxygen species (ROS). Likewise, catalase has one of the highestturnover numbers of all enzymes; one catalase molecule can convert millions of molecules of hydrogen peroxide to water and oxygen each second.
Gray Hair? According to recent scientific studies, low levels of catalase may play a role in the graying process of human hair. Hydrogen peroxide is naturally produced by the body and catalase breaks it down. If catalase levels decline, hydrogen peroxide cannot be broken down as well. This allows the hydrogen peroxide to bleach the hair from the inside out. This finding may someday be incorporated into cosmetic treatments for graying hair.
